Hi, I’m Jackie.

I’m a teacher, a bookbinder, a software engineer and a civic technologist. I work on projects with a lot of different crafts (from books and paper to sewing to film to software) that typically focus on structure and infrastructure. I love making/building things and trying things, and I love teaching them at least as much (email me if you want to talk more about that).

I am currently interested in memory (institutional and literal), the layers within cities and neighborhoods, unreliable narrators, the history of housing in New York City, cooperative housing more generally, and the visual patterns in human-built structures (apartment buildings, stacks of paint cans or tires, etc).

My other website is here.
