The Night Sky - Flag Book (2022)
The Flag Book is a structure invented by the artist Hedi Kyle (see more on her work and the Flag Book structure here and here). I learned about it originally from Paulette Rosen, my first bookbinding teacher. The cover image insert + the extra thick/sturdy covers (2 boards!) were a fun detail.
I hoped the many ways you can experience the Flag Book structure would be a fun approach to the ways people began/continue to admire (and discover) “space” and “the night sky”.
